Show Me

Show me:
Something that changes the nature of things
and that blazes a path with the boldness it brings
and it hums and it whistles
it dances and sings
and it starts with "Hello"
and it ends with the rings.

Show me:
Something that screams from a mountaintop peak
that you've got what you need, and you've found all you seek
so it lives in your heart
and is heard when you speak
and it's strong when you're strong
and it's strong when you're weak.

Show me:
Something set free in its truth, and it's trust
and that rallies behind what is right, and what's just
and it builds and it grows
and it does, 'cos it must
and begins with a birth
and returns to the dust.

Show me:
Something to signify love in all forms
and has no real regard for societal norms
and it comforts, consoles
and it covers and warms
and brings Spring through my snow
and gives calm to my storms.

Show me:
Something to indicate "Ready right now"
and that answers the questions of where, why and how
and delivers devotion
and swears to a vow
and lives love to the fullest
that life will allow.

Show me something, baby.
Show me something, baby.
Show me something.
