On My Mountain

On my mountain, the sky would feel closer.
And the trees in the breeze would be palm.
And we'd take in the whole scene together.
For to share in the same sense of calm.

On my mountain, the sea and the shoreline,
spread before us like lovers entwined.
And the song of the seagulls, our chorus.
Breathing deeply a pure peace of mind.

On my mountain we'll go there as needed.
As our lifetime and schedules allow.
After standing our ground, we'll be seated.
While remembering: The future is now.

On my mountain in private, in-person,
taking visitors, only a few.
Finding joy in the company of oneness.
For my mountain is your mountain, too.

(What a wishfully wonderful view.)

ALL THESE YEARS

I saw your moon again

Was circling high above the ground
And I could still remember when
You made me stop and look around

So I met the morning sun

I let it put me into place
When u were rising from the dark
And I could see it in your face

But I stayed here
Surrounded by all (of) my fear

And I let go
I didn't imagine that you'd ever show

From a path that was laid, you've taken a pass
All the triumphs we trade for this shatterproof glass

But still there's tears
After all these years.

Adrift in endless space

Alone in timeless pasts

(I) Tried keeping up your pace

But I know it never lasts

And every now and then

Between your torch songs and your tease

I hear the most profound of truths

In all your Simplest melodies.

But I stayed here..
CHORUS

BRIDGE:
Now time is just a topic
we discuss in different ways

Gets broken into pieces

From millennia to days

And you with all your viewpoints
And me here in my ma(i)ze

In an age-old quest for permanence,

it's the fleetingness that stays...

(GUITAR SOLO)

But then I saw the moon again.
This time accompanied by stars.

It had a surface full of holes

It had a spirit full of scars

And then one winter in a wood

It lent its light upon the ground
To share a vision understood

So those who'd lost in love were found.

And I... I stayed here…
CHORUS TO END

What R The Odds?

What R the odds
that U and I'd get along?
And combine our two voices in a beautiful song
And then build our own family as strong as it's true
There's a good chance that's just what wed do.

Tell me: What R the odds our whole lives will transform?
As we start every morning with a love, pure and warm
And then end every night in a dream made for two
It's a chance that's worth taking on U.

What R the odds that our Far becomes Near
That the path laid before us is suddenly clear
And its simple and sure and it's here and its now
And begins to sound just like a vow.

Whoa.. (Wow.) :)

And then: What R the odds that our Lives will improve?
As those hopes for The Future become plans on the move
And all turbulent waters become Suddenly smooth.
And the tide brings U back right on time..

Baby, what R the odds you'll be mine?
